Merry Christmas to All, And to All a Goodnight

Eleven cups of eggnog into the "Christmas experience", I started to find something rather paradoxical about the constant bombardment of TV specials about how material goods have nothing to do with Christmas, while those self same specials are interrupted every ten minutes with commercials telling us to "buy buy buy", just in time for Christmas.

TV execs need to get their story straight.

Medication for Your Second Favourite Organ

I got my favourite uncle some cures for what ails him, including Hi-IQ Brain Grow pills, Coffee Breaker for coffee addiction, Fart Enders to cut down on the whole toxic gas thing (Good for stopping farts up t 10 on the "sphincter" scale), and some Old Age pills.

Beat By Girls

The other night I saw Canada's National Women's Team play the Three Hills Thrashers, the local Junior B Team.

The score was 3-2, but I don't think it really reflects how the game went. I wouldn't say it was close, although the guys definitely did have a physical edge. A fight even broke out (sorta).

It has recently come to my attention that a resteraunt in town serves a one pound hamburger.

And I have not eaten it yet. This is not acceptable.

Best Movie Ever? Perhaps.

I watched the comedy "Hot Rod" today, and it was excellent. A laugh riot. A barrel of laughs, if you will. Sort of like a barrel of monkeys.

Inside Voices, Please

Every night, without exception, people in this dorm start playing first-person-shooter games on the computers, and then the white kids start yelling and the Asians start shrieking, and then my head explodes. I never thought I would be telling someone else to keep it down.

My life needs a volume control.

Hats and Such

Alex (my old roommate) left a whole host of things when he transferred back to Drumheller. Among them was the DVD for The Illusion, some posters, a note, his His Singers music binder, and my personal favourite, a pair of trucker caps.

I am wearing one right now. It is not only comfortable, but stylish. Just goes to show what you can find when rooting through other people's closets.

The Chu Chu train is Coming to Station

Yours truly is getting a new roommate. Third in as many months.

His name is Calvin Chu, and I am rescuing him from being roommates with the smelliest, most disgusting room in the dorms (and taking him to the second most disgusting room in the dorms? Perhaps.).

What Is A Blog?

"Blog: noun.
An online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called a weblog, or web log." -

Basically, a blog is like a diary. Except, nobody puts any interesting things in them because everybody can read it. So it's a boring, impersonal, public diary. On the internet.

Exciting, no?

Welcome to The Stick

You are now reading a blog.
